Description
This painting wants to celebrate those who are splendid humans yet remain oblivious to it.
Perhaps no parent ever reminded them of their brilliance when they were children. Now, they lack the time and space to comprehend and acknowledge it. They are so busy with the everyday demands of being "human" that changing their mindset and accepting themselves are the most challenging things to do, despite it being for their own good.
They understand there is a key to uplifting their lives but are in such a terrible down phase that they only see the bad and wrong in everything. And it brings frustration and depression.
Rolling the eyes back is a gesture of refusal, a silently but profoundly felt complaint. It represents inner weariness towards society, a theme that is deeply important to me.
