Not only canvas
The age-old adage, “You’re not a real painter if you don’t paint on canvas,” often reverberates in my mind, only to be immediately countered by a resounding, “What nonsense!” . While painting on canvas carries an undeniable thrill, imbuing a sense of significance and professionalism that seems to transport one to a different realm, the notion that canvas is the sole legitimate medium for art is increasingly outdated.
Art, in its truest form, transcends the bounds of traditional mediums.
In an effort to both minimize costs and champion the cause of recycling, I have ventured into the realm of painting on alternative supports such as cardboard, plywood, and old bed sheets inherited from my grandparents, priming them with two layers of chalk beforehand.
I invite you to explore and enjoy these diverse expressions of creativity.
