How it works
Years ago, during a theatre lighting design course, we were rehearsing a performance without actors, using only their live voices and lights. I noticed that light alone was enough to convey meaning and create the atmosphere of the story. Recalling this experience, I wanted this series to explore colours, gestures and composition, understood as the light and voice of this “paper show”.
How It Works is an abstract series about the creative process and its different stages, which can range from curiosity to frustration, from chaos to the unexpected moment of a brilliant idea.
I began to reflect on how every action, from artistic creation to everyday gestures, follows or creates a process, whether visible or invisible. I see our gestures as a silent voice, supporting and shaping our personal process of living within this ongoing life performance.
